Are you a Yo-Yo, Boomerang or Hot Potato?

We all have cares in this life that we are tempted to worry about. But the Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast (or throw) all of are cares upon the Lord. Now, when it comes to throwing off cares, there are 3 different kinds of people: the Yo-Yos, the Boomerangs and the Hot Potatoes.

The Yo-Yos are the folks who throw off their cares, but the string is still attached and pull their cares right back to themselves.

The Boomerangs throw off their cares, too, but they plan on their cares returning back to them and, sure enough, they always do.

But the Hot Potatoes know that if they hold their cares too long the will get burned, so they are quick to throw off their cares and keep them off.

Remember this: if YOU hold on to YOUR cares . . . Jesus can't!
