I'm thinking about buying a new computer, but I do not know which version of Windows 7 buy. There seems to be a price difference between the highest and lowest versions of about $100.  Gaming and burning videos would be the biggest uses of the OS that I can foresee right now.

Your knowledge, wisdom, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If your just gaming and burning video's then go with professional. The only reason I can see to get Ultimate is if your doing some crazy Computer Science stuff on it Tongue

Professional is the better option I promise Smiley It's more streamlined and to the point than the other two and much better equipped than Home Edition.  You cant go wrong with Professional.

I promise Cheesy

This statement is false.

True, Professional is more streamlined, and better for business and gaming, but Ultimate can have all those fancy-shmancy features that take up so much processing power turned down to be like Professional. Just sayin'.

If all you want if for is to play games and burn a CD here and there then the business one would probably be best as TLS said. However, if you are into the DVD maker and all of the media things, then go ultimate. I have included a site that tells what each one comes with, i would go with ultimate if it was me just because i like all the features, but, if all you want is gaming and CD burning then go with the business.
