I am suffering through some depression right now, i feel lonley and don't really understand where i fit in yet. I know that God is with me and will help me, just hope it is soon. Still have loose ends and haven't fully recovered from my accident that 2 years ago. God has saved me and this is what gets me through everyday. I just pray so hard everynight will be my last. Just please keep me in your prayers.

I AM
I am everything you ever wanted.
A calming for the storm.
I knew you before you where created
I knew you before you where torn.
Your path has been paved
though the choice is yours.
Once you choose to seek me
Ill open many doors.
I gifted you this day
With life a new
when you feel your alone
when you just cant make it threw
when you know not where to turn
You set your self in misery and doubt
all you have to do is pray it out
know you are not alone
Alpha to the Omega
beginning to the end
As your father
your savior
your friend
ill be with you to the very end
for
I AM

I Will Lift You Up
Have you ever been hurt no one seemed to care?

Have you ever felt alone no one seemed to be there?

You felt so weak, you felt so small.

The taller the mountain,

the taller the wall.

Yet you weren't alone God was there through it all.

Fear not my child, no need to weep.

For I will up lift you my fallen sheep.

I can climb the highest mountain,

I can part the deepest seas

All you have to do is seek me

Seek me upon your knees

And where things where darkened

There now is light

For I am your God

nothing is out of site.

AN ANSWER

You cried out to me today, You  ask Why?
Why must i live this way.
I have heard you.
I have felt your tears.
Stand strong my child,
stand fast in my word.
You yeld to my voice.
Now take my hand
I will guide you.
You know me,
You know my word.
Stand,
Live,
Pray.
Though you see me not
for the dark that tries to still you away
 I AM HERE.
I AM WITH YOU MY CHILD.
DONT GIVE IN DONT GIVE UP>
I HOLD YOU IN MY ARMS>
FOR I AM YOUR GOD

Ok Goose  I'm going to try not to ramble here, here goes.
You are in a better place than I was at your age ... You have accepted the fact that god has a plan for you. At least that is what it sounds like to me.
I went through a very trying time when I was 17 yrs old and at times thought that there was no reason for me to exist. I had no Idea what gods plan for me was and wanted to just enter the eternal bliss.
I know it feels like you have felt this way for a long time and that things will never change. You are so young and your life will change so much in the near future. I hope i can give you some perspective. I know now at 43 yrs old that if I had ceased to be at 17 I would have missed out on so many incredible things. Not to mention marrying my wife Mary and the birth of my 3 children.(I like to think that they appreciate the fact that I stuck around)
When my wife passed away last year I fell into a depression that so far eclipsed anything that i had gone through in the past.  The only thing that kept me going was knowing that god had a plan for me. I did not like the plan at the moment, but I knew from my past experience that suicide was not an option. I also knew that just laying down and giving up wasn't an option because I had seen part of gods plan  for me and knew that there is more to look forward to.
17 yrs seems like a long time. In one short year you will be 18 and an adult(in the eyes of the law). I'm not saying that this will change everything for the better. I'm just saying look at the perspective of time. In four short years you will b 21 and when you look back you mite not even recognize yourself. Believe me life changes so much at this age range. I am sure that at times  the days drag and you can't imagine things ever being different. I want you to just focus on the simple pleasures at the moment. Don't be scanning the horizon for those big changes, they will come when you least expect them. Live in the moment , enjoy those simple connections with family and nature.
You also talk about the accident and say that you haven't fully recovered yet. Maybe you need to talk to your doctor.  I don't know if you are still on any medications from the accident. Be aware that many medications can help with some aspects of our life but can alter your moods. I implore you to talk to your doctor and tell him about how you are feeling . I feel confident that he will be able to assist you.
Know that god has a big plan that you and I can't even begin to second guess. These melancholy times might simply be his way of teaching you how to recognize and truly embrace the better times when they come along.

Not sure where you are in your walk with the Lord, but I can assure you that it is likely you are going through a test. As hard as that may sound suffering comes with the freedom to choose and suffering reveals what is on our hearts. Pain should help us lossen our grip on life and turn even more towards Him. God's comfort is greater than our suffering. God can turn suffering around for good.  I would find something that you can do do serve Him. Most people don't think they can do anything to serve Him, but that is the point. Because when you do let your fears go and serve Him, he will guide you through your inabilities, so you know it is a God thing. Go to where God is working and do something. See your Pastor or someone in church leadership and ask what you can do. Get busy about God's work and you will begin to heal. He is trying to draw you closer to Him. There are some solid men of faith in OCS and you can always contact any of them via PM in confidence. Praying for you Goose.

Many others say it so beautifully! So I do not need to say it more. I will just say that you are in my thought and prayer, sir.

I don't often agree with deacon (I think the forum is still around, you can look for it Tongue ) but what he said is very very very very very, I can't say it enough, very sound advice. I find that when I do not pray always and forget to read my scriptures daily and don't go to church on sundays (yes im guilty), I don't feel as good as I normally would. I feel less of a person. Whatever your religion, Baptist, Catholic, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (always forget what a mouthful that is Tongue ), or whatever, go to church, be around people who share your values, and people who love you for who you are. Continue to go on and you will find yourself stronger in the end.

Like it says in one of my favorite songs:

If your going through Hell, Keep on moving. You just might get out before the Devil even knows your there.

Smiling helps too Smiley
