Ventrilo strangeness

As some of you know, I have been having trouble speaking in Ventrilo during games. Only when got to my desktop out of game by pushing Alt-Tab, I could talk in Vent. When I was in the game, nobody in Vent could hear me, even though I could hear everything everybody else was saying.

Today, I found that when I deactivated the push-to-talk button I could be heard on Vent. The open mic option worked through 2 or 3 maps with Screwdriver hearing all I that I said.

Next time, I go into Vent I will try a different push-to-talk button. I had been using the left Alt key before.

Now, does anybody have an idea of what is going on?

I like using the middle mouse button but no I have never heard about anything like this before.

i have a 4 button mouse and i use the 4th button, also is the back button for internet browsers, as my PTT (Push-to-talk) but my in game PTT is the Default Z button....but thats just me....
