He is blind-folded by society's desire to leave the feelings of everyone intact; to please all, to pamper, hence why he becomes upset at the holy truth that homosexuals are abominations. No one ever said the truth would not hurt, but turning your back on the Word as Tex has is not the correct response. Sadly, there are too many such as Tex, and the problem is worsening.

While I agree...let's not forget, as MANY do...that we are to share the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ with ALL...not just straight people.  I have a friend who is sort of in the same boat...homosexual and apparently believes he's just oki doki with God.  Well, he's wrong, very wrong.  Do I associate with him anymore?  I have not for some time...why?  Because I can not condone what he does.  I have had another friend in the same position...although I'm not sure she professes to be a Christian. 

We have to remember that Jesus Christ died for those who's faith is placed in Him.  Can a homosexual be saved?  ABSOLUTELY!!  Just look around, look into it, and you'll see how God has done so.  Too often I've seen people think that because a person is homosexual, that we should not even bother with them...not even bother sharing Jesus with them.  God help the person who believes that.  That shows a heart of PRIDE and forgetfullness of what God has saved them from.

There are the lost, who we are to share the love of Jesus and the gospel with and then there are those who claim to be believers and are living against God.  Paul speaks about these.

1 Corinthians 5:9-11
9 I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people;
10 I [did] not at all [mean] with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters; for then you would have to go out of the world.
11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he should be an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler--not even to eat with such a one.

The thing we have to think about here is that there are MANY "believers" who are VERY immature in their faith, VERY uneducated in their faith...and then there are those who really have no faith at all.  You have to decide for yourself what category Tex falls into.  While I believe I have a good idea...I don't know Tex and am willing to talk with him about all this and try to show him further what the Word says about it all.

I have known people immature in their faith who, when confronted with the truth of the gospel about something wrong they believed, immediately became angry, but soon realized the truth and God changed their hearts...do we believe the same can happen to Tex....I do...I've seen it.  I only caution us to be careful to not cross the line between standing firm in the truth and being too prideful and self-righteous to do anything but be content to sit in judgement and nothing else.  I've seen THAT too....too often.  There comes a time when we are to put a person out of fellowship, but, have we done anything to change the situation?

Don't get me wrong, I stand in support of Elad's decision to ban Tex from the game.  I just don't want to see a self-righteous parade going on like I've seen outside of the forums with simliar situations.  This whole situation is something we all need to pray about.  I only hope for the opportunity to share with him more.  If he doesn't come here, I may go to him.

Hi guys,

I just wanted to say I know what happened with Tex, and we are trying to straighten him out.  We have been questioning him for quite sometime now.  For one we think it was kind of strange for him to join cheerleading, and be so eager to do so.  I believe someone has directed him down the wrong path, and we are going to try to fix it.

I believe like you guys do, and do not support gays in anyway.  I believe in order for a gay person to become saved they have to repent of the sin, and change it.  They can't stay gay once saved there no such thing as a gay christian.  I also can't believe what he said about abortion.  I am 100% against abortion, and I am a women.  The lord looks at every child as precious, and that is how the world should look at them.

I also agree with the ban.  First he was wrong for argueing in the server he should have came in here and made a post about it.  He was also wrong for calling people names, and not listening to his elders. 
We all need to pray that he will be directed down the right path, and for the lord to give Terminator (my husband) the right words to help him.

I am dearly disappoint with Tex GA. And I am also dearly disappoint with Elad for certain word usage such as "baby killer", "commie obamie -the Obamanation", "perverts", and such and also ban action on boba fett. I agree and know that God is totally against behavior of homosexual but you need to understand that Jesus Christ DIED for them in name of LOVE. Elad, I dont see your love for those kind people nor for Obamsa (anyway you spell it). I admire your fire and firm faith in Word of God. I am not saying you should dim your lamp. NO NO. Rather, display your love. Offer them peace and warn. Offer them to drop the subject and discuss on OCS BibleCampground where strong leader like yourself can discuss openly.

I want you to understand where I am standing... I am against the behavior of homosexual (and homosexuality itself), the ignorance of abortion, pattern of drunkard, and such like that those are against Word of God.

More than that, I need not to say more as Mouko and others say it pretty much. Yes, I agree ban is right action but with a request that it is not pernament.

Thanks Meerkat, I'm glad you guys are working with him.  Since ya'll are talking with him, as people he knows, I'm going to leave it with ya'll, because he and I don' know each other as good.  If, however, I can be of any assistance at all, please let me know.  I agree also with you about the fact that homosexuals MUST repent of that and turn not only away from that sin but also turn to God.  It is also true, Elad, that God does give some over to their own desires, which by their nature is sinful.

After I read this I had to go walk down to our PD to handle some things and I prayed for him...and I'll keep doing so along with you guys in working with him.  It may be, however, time to, as Paul once put it, "remove the wicked man from among yourselves." (1 Corinthians 5:13)  If he continually refuses to hear the truth...that is the next step...along with praying for the Spirit to reveal the truth to him.  Don't let your working with him be to your detriment. 

It is so important for us to stand against what is wrong...and especially when we see professing believers doing what is wrong or believing in the wrong things.  Believe me, this type of thing infuriates me too.  Those out there who are attacking the honor of our Lord...I pray for their salvation...and at the same time, that He would SILENCE them.  I then begin to understand, I think, a little better how David felt in the Psalms, especially in the end of 139.  So, I understand where you are coming from Elad, because I feel the same hatred for what is so contrary to the truth of God.  However, we have been assigned the ministry of reconciliation of the lost to God (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).  We have to ask ourselves at times are we following our pride or because we truly hate what is evil.  We know this by looking back at our lives.  Are we consistently quick to condemn without attempting to reconcile?  Many, I fear, are.  A person can hate evil yet still carry on that ministry of reconcilliation.

Part of my point is that I want to know your point Tex.  If we are wrong in our assessment of what you've said and what you have also implied you believe, how are we wrong?  I want to know where you're coming from.  However, if you take off, how is anyone supposed to know that if your reasonings are sound.  Much can be misjudged from a typed conversation, but, from what I've seen your thoughts are not Biblical.  As you can see, the rest who've commented feel the same about what you've stated...therefore it is PAST TIME to listen.  I pray you will.

If you are willing, PM me and we can talk.  IF in fact you are a true Christian, then you MUST be willing to receive correction when you are wrong.  If you are not willng to hear that you are wrong, you can not be convinced of the truth of God.  If you believe you are right, then it should not be difficult to say why you think that way and be able to back in up with the Word.

The FACT is, God's revealed Word speaks against homosexulity in more ways and places than one, both outright and implied.  His visible plan for creation shows clearly what is intended for man and woman...not man and man or woman and woman.  The Word has spoken on this subject in every age.

Elad, if we are not going to allow people to come in, then how are we to either direct them to the forums or witness to them?  If they are causing problems, yes, boot 'em.  Booting someone for saying they're gay...how then is anyone to tell them it's wrong and why and what they can do about it if they're booted immediately?

I wish I had seen this earlier today.

First, this probably should have been posted in a non-public forum because we are talking about an individual in conjunction with the overall subject.

Second, we need to pray for him. We need to pray that God will touch his heart, will change his heart, will mature him and will bring him back into the Shepard's arms. We also need to pray for Terminator and Meerkat as they minister to Tex (Cheerguy) that God will give them the right words.

Third, ditto what Mouko has said.

Fourth, I support Elad's position.

Fifth, if you are a Christian, then God's Word, not man's, is your guide. Scripture is clear on this subject - homosexuality is an abomination. Abortion is murder and the Sixth Commandment say's: "Thou shall not murder". (murder is the correct Hebrew word, not kill).

Sixth, the world does not care about sin, it revels in it. But as Christian's we should know better.
 
Seventh, Jesus loved the sinner but hated the sin. One of his last acts on the cross was to bring a thief into Christendom. But he always required repentance of sin of his followers. My brother in law is gay and unsaved. One of the nicest people you would ever meet. He knows my position on homosexuality. I still love him and I will continue to witness to him  and pray for him. I for one would love to see him in Heaven some day.

Yeah Elad, I know how you feel on that man...I do.  And that's all I'm asking is that we try to at least point them in the right direction first.  I agree the Church has become too tolerant...part of the reason so many things are accepted today that were not even just 10 years ago.  Trust me, I KNOW how you feel.

Night, part of the reason we try to understand, in some cases, where people are coming from is so that we can better address the problem.  Being willing to make an effort at comprehending, NOT IDENTIFYING WITH, a person's motives, etc., often helps in witnessing to them.  It also, at times, shows the person you care about them and then they are more likely, again in some cases, to listen to what you have to say.  Now, what you say may go in one ear and out the other, but, at least you have told them, and perhaps an unsaved person is nearby who will then also hear the gospel.  Even Paul reached people where they were (Acts 17:21-34).

As for your salvation, I do not know the condition of your heart, HOWEVER, your words reveal much that at a minimum you either do not understand the Word of God or only want to hear what justifies what you feel.  The Word is clear.

And yes, many of us are concerned about you, whether you believe it or not.  While we will not condone the views you stated, some of us DO want to talk with you and help you see what the Word says.  IF in fact you are a Christian, seek the truth from the Word in the Holy Spirit.
