This is a place for all prayer requests.  We are a people who say we believe in prayer.  Yet, do we really?  Do we go to God with everything...good and bad?  Do we truly trust our Lord to hear our prayers?  Do we trust that no matter the answer, that He knows best?  I hope it is your witness today that you can say a resounding YES to these questions.

1 John 5:13-15
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know
that you have eternal life.  And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything
according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us [in] whatever we ask, we know
that we have the requests which we have asked from Him

Hi All

Please keep myself and the other Deacons & Elders in our church in prayer this week. After services this Sunday, we will be voting on whether or not to open a Christian School at our church (www.GraceCommunityChapel.com).

Please pray that God will reveal His Will to us for this ministry. Please pray that we will have the faith and strength to follow His Will. This will be a hugh step of faith in the area of finances because of the associated cost for this ministry. In order for this to occur there must be a unanamous decision from the Deacons, Elders and Pastor.

Please keep in prayer that God will provide for the financial needs of the school. Also, an more importantly, that it will be a source of teaching our young to become well educated and strong in their Faith

Buddy, you have more people than you know praying for you.  That hasn't stopped...nor will it.

Lord Jesus I pray for my little brother, You know his heart, You know his mind, You know all that is in him.
I pray Holy Spirit that the comfort that only You can provide would be his.  I pray that You would continue
to hold him close as You always have.  I pray Father that the storm You are allowing him to be in right now
would be seen as nothing more than a breeze when He sees You.  I pray not that You'd take Him out of the
storm, but through it.  We know You have a purpose for the storm that is for his good and ultimately for
Your glory.  We trust in You Lord that You are in control...for YOU are GOD!!  Praise be to You Lord for
Your grace and mercy!  It's in the most holy and precious name of Jesus we pray.  Amen.

I wanted to ask all of you to pray for the EDGE club programs in Virginia.  We have just been able to open a new one at Westfields High School and I want to wish them well.  Please pray also for all the students.  This week we had two juniors who committed their lives to Christ.  I ask you to pray for them for this upcommong week as they get connected with local churches.

please keep my daughter taylor(BUG OCS) in your prayers. she is 14 soon to be 15. very pretty( gets it from her dad ) and is starting to get boys on her mind. she is a strong christian girl and i trust her and do not worry about her failing but she ( as well as myself and her mother) could use the prayer. maybe some of you can fathers can give her some advice. i have raised a 22 year old and boy howdy!!!!!!!! i want to make this one as easy as possible.

Uggg...that's my biggest concern about possibly having a daughter...which, and I can't say why, I believe is what we'll have if/when the Lord blesses us with children.  Will pray for you all...

I had a rough day on duty today. I went out on a SIDS call (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), a 2 month old that was discovered by her mother this morning upon waking. When we got to scene, it was obvious that the child had passed several hours before. No resuscitation efforts for us, but we were requested by the Sheriff to take the infant into the ER so he could secure the scene and better deal with the upset parents. I've been in EMS for 8 years....and have become very accustomed to dealing with death. I rest knowing that the baby is in the Lord's arms right now.

1 hour later I went out to the same address for the mother. I feared the worst, but when I got there I was told by the other family members that the mother had been distraught and hysterical since our original departure with the infant. I managed to talk the mother into coming with me so we could get her some help. Let me tell you my brothers and sisters.......that was the longest 25 minute transport I ever had. As you would expect from a grieving mother, a lot of crying, screaming, and pleading with God. I tell you.......a very hard one for me to endure. I did witness......though at this point in time.....I think I did little to ease her suffering. I can't even imagine loosing one of my children, much less this new...and first time mother. I ask you all to pray for Karen, who questions her faith over her loss. I also ask you to pray for the rest of her family. May the Lord give them strength through this difficult time. Thank you all.

Keep me in your prayer and your remembrance... I have a feeling that youth ministry is ready undergo another transition as it is time for growing and changing. Always challenge. Also, continue pray for my weight. Lastly, pray for my school. I am stress out a bit. Just took three exams and I think I do them well. Wait and see. I have two term paper coming up very fast. Oh also... please and please pray for my mom... She is closer to accept Jesus Christ as her Savior. She is not saved just yet. Pray for my dad and step mom, they are seriously consider about doing mission work at India and they are atending Charis Bible College to get some educational background and experience. It is interesting to witness the spiritual growth in my dad and step mom. Pray for my sister also... she is also unsaved. Gosh... as matter of fact I have too many prayer request so i will just left it as it is. God bless.

Hi guys, please keep me in your prayers this week. I feel like the Lord is really pulling at my heart as pertains to serving him. I've been preaching for a few weeks now and the church asked yesterday if I would be the Events Coordinator for the Mens and Young Mens group. If you could help me pray for guidance and knowledge to do what the Lord wants done, I would appretiate it. I want to server Him and do all the work I can for Him, but I want to be sure that it's what He wants. Thank You, God Bless you all.

Well... i got ct scan result from my family doctor and I got a 10 mm stone in my kidney and will have to go to operation to get that stone out otherwise it will affect my body system badly. Right now, I am in pain and admittingly, grumpy. Thank you for the prayer.

I am presenting our newly developed safety and security plan to our congregation tomorrow. With what is going on across the nation with armed intruders going into churches we decided to develop a proactive plan. There are a few in the congregation that are against even having "ushers" (watchmen) at the door. We may lose some of our congregation over this so I would ask you to especially pray for those people.  But the plan also encompasses fire safety and etc. We also have made provisions for opening up the church to the community during time of natural disasters.

Leadership is fully behind the plan and there is a scriptural basis for what we are doing. As head deacon and crisis management spokesman, I will be presenting the plan.

Wow! During the presentation I saw many heads nodding in agreement from people that I thought would think otherwise. And, there was even loud applause at the end of the presentation (clapping is an amazing feat for a bunch of Baptists  ).

I hear that Lion, we definatley need to be praying in that situation, someone such as Oprah, who easily influences many people *sigh* I know that the Lord is looking down and probably just shaking his head at this. I don't know how much longer he will allow this world to stand, it seems that we're running on the last resources we have left. Not just in keeping the churches together, but in the world's resources itself, crude oil, water isn't safe anymore, food is as expensive as clothing almost. If I could add to your prayer request. I've been noticing this more and more. I've seen a lot of people on t.v. doing horrible things and saying "The Lord lead me to do it, he is watching over me" one of these was a pedafile who was actually a PASTOR.Another was a grandmother who scalded her 2 year old grandson in hot bathwater causing him to die. They both said that the Lord sent them an audible message to perform these acts. I'm not believing that, I believe that they let Satan take control of them and he convinced them to do it. We need to pray for these people, but we also need to pray for the children who are in these situations. They are the future leaders and teachers of the church.

You know what... we should also pray for Cheerguy/TEX. After reading many of his post and I start to realize where u guys are going and I am more agreeable now. At the same time, we should remind ourselves that we, as the wheat, live among weed and the judgment is coming swift. Please pray for us down here in the gulf coast area.  We just got the snot kicked out of us again.  In some ways this was alot lighter than Katrina, but, in some places it was worse.  Our office was activated and we've all been out here since Saturday night to help keep 911 working like it should for our area.  We haven't been able to go out and about yet, but, we don't think we got hit near as hard as Katrina did.  However, I just spoke with my father and thankfully them and all the family seem to be ok...but there is alot of work to be done.  There seems to be more wind damage in our home town area than there was before.  I don't know yet if our house is still standing or any major damage as my wife was also activated to work a special needs shelter (she's a nurse).  Our 911 system is having some problems, but, we're working it out.  We thank the Lord He took a major portion of the "kick" out of the storm before it hit...could have been much worse.

Well, I heard from my dad...we apparently have a hole in the roof on one side of the house from a pine top...probably some water damage, but shouldn't be too bad.  Otherwise one tree down on our driveway and all else is ok...thank you Jesus.  My friend I work with, his sister has 3 trees on her house...so, could have been much worse.  I'm hopefully going to be able to leave soon and go start working on it.  Thanks for the prayers guys...

Got home and started work on the house.  My father and two of my uncles had already patched up the roof to keep more rain from getting in.  Got a fair amount of water in and some sheet-rock and maybe some of the floor will need to be replaced patch up the hole in the ceiling and get some roof repair folks out to fix that up permanent.  It's all good though, that's what insurance is for.  God definately blessed us by there being only this damage.  We have a big oak that could have destroyed the house, but, it stood strong when I've seen other ones its size knocked over...one across my driveway.  Same situation for my parents.  I thank God for keeping us all safe.  Pray for those who've lost much in this.

I know it has been a long time since I last talked with you all, my computer seems to reject the BHD software and i am still working on it.  Hopefully i will be playing with you all again soon.  But i am on COD4 as soon as i find the OCS server.  Thank you all for all your prayers for EDGE, and it has been growqing very fast.  Starting this new school year off has been a blast.  We already had a senior saved at a conference today and he is now one of the leaders.  This brings the grand total up to 25 students since last September.  Praise the Lord!

So in summary, hope to see you guys and girls soon, and thanks for your prayers.

I'd like to ask you guys to pray for my grandmother and those who this death impacts. On Saturday May 23 my great aunt passed away. I did not get know her as much as my grandmother did considering she was her sister. But my grandmother is very upset by this death and she needs some support and comfort from God. Same with the part of the family that knew her the most. I think that they really need these prayers too!

I would like to ask you guys to pray for my friend David. I have recently been informed by him that he is thinking about trying pot. He is Christian and does want a salvation. All of my friends that know as well as myself are trying to convince him to not partake in this but I need God's help as well as all of your prayers to make him realize he shouldn't try it. I would also appreciate it if you could throw in some scriptures disapproving of drugs so that i can show him. Thank you all in advance for your prayers.
